A group of swimmers who went to the wrong beach while looking to join in a polar bear swim to celebrate the new year didn’t let the lack of a large crowd dissuade them from taking the plunge on Sunday.
One by one, the group tested the waters in a sheltered cove at the base of Mile Zero, off Dallas Road just after noon on New year’s Day.
We talked to them about their hopes for 2023 — and about how the water was.
