Power has been restored in an outage that affected nearly 4,000 B.C. Hydro customers, including Mayfair Shopping Centre, which is busy with holiday shoppers.
B.C. Hydro said the cause of the outage was an equipment failure. Power was restored between 2:30 and 3 p.m.
Stores in the mall had their doors shut while employees waited inside for power to come back on.
