West Shore Mounties are searching for an arson suspect after three vehicles went up in flames outside a residential complex on Craigflower Road on Tuesday morning.

View Royal Fire extinguished the blaze, which caused significant damage to a white 2010 Mercedes Benz C300 and two vehicles parked on either side — a yellow 2006 Dodge Ram pickup and a grey 2013 Hyundai Accent.

RCMP said a male was seen near the vehicles moments before the Mercedes-Benz was engulfed in flames in the parking lot at 1445 Craigflower Rd.

The male suspect of unknown age is described as wearing a black hoodie, black jacket and black face mask.

There were no injuries.

RCMP have canvassed the area and spoken with residents living nearby. Police are asking anyone with dash-cam or home-surveillance footage from the area around the time of the fire — between 6 a.m. and 6:40 a.m. — to provide it to West Shore RCMP.

West Shore RCMP can be reached at 250-474-2264.
