Well-stocked campers arrive for the Tall Tree Music Festival at remote Brown’s Mountain near Port Renfrew on Friday. They’ll be treated to acts such as Beats Antique, Tokyo Police Club and Shapeshifter NZ. They’re also likely to get good tans with temperatures in the high 20s Saturday and Sunday. It will be slightly cooler Monday for the festival windup.
Brown’s Mountain is the perfect setting for a community-minded festival such as Tall Tree, which happens to be staged in the middle of a forest spanning hectares in every direction. The vistas aren’t the only breathtaking aspect, of course. Several popular locals — Jon and Roy, Jesse Roper, Astrocolor — are joining touring acts Tokyo Police Club, DJ Nu-Mark, and the Easy Star All-Stars for four days of festival frivolity.
The festival started on Friday and continues to Monday.
