Sidney election results: Two new faces join Mayor Cliff McNeil-Smith and incumbents

Cliff McNeil-Smith was acclaimed as mayor of Sidney for a second term. Incumbent councillors Terri O’Keefe, Sara Duncan, Chad Rintoul and Scott Garnett were elected along with new arrivals Steve Duck and Richard Novek.

Cliff McNeil-Smith was acclaimed as mayor of Sidney for a second term.

Incumbent councillors Terri O’Keefe, Sara Duncan, Chad Rintoul and Scott Garnett were elected along with new arrivals Steve Duck and Richard Novek.

Council candidate Steve Price, who was mayor of Sidney from 2014 until 2018 and a two-term councillor prior to that, did not earn a council seat and received an estimated 687 votes — the lowest number of votes among the candidates
