A planned maintenance outage will affect non-emergency fire and police lines as well as municipality services at the District of Oak Bay today.
The outage is expected to last from 6 p.m. to midnight.
Emergency service through 911 will not be affected, and police and fire personnel will be in direct contect with dispatch providers through CREST radio and cellphones, the muncipality said in a notice.
Phone lines, as well as payment processors at the Oak Bay Recreation Centre will not be functional, but facilities will remain open. Memberships, punch-pass access and cash admissions will be accepted.
