A suspect has been identified after police released a home-surveillance video showing a woman who appeared to be stealing a girl’s handmade bracelets from her front porch, West Shore RCMP say.

The 11-year-old girl was selling the gemstone bracelets for $15 apiece, and had them on display outside her Langford home.

The girl and a parent went inside for a few minutes and discovered the bracelets were gone when they went back out.

About 40 bracelets — most of those on display — were taken.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
