B.C. Transit’s Santa Bus is coming to town, aiming to bring a little joy to the world this weekend.
Like Rudolph, the jolly bus will be instantly recognizable by its distinctive red nose and antlers. Inside, traditional holiday music will play.
“The Santa Bus has become a great holiday tradition in the Victoria Regional Transit System, and we’re happy it’s continuing during these challenging times,” said B.C. Transit spokesperson Jamie Weiss.
The Santa Bus, which is free to ride, will be operating on routes 26, 11, 6, 14, 50, 39 and 30 Friday and on routes 8, 30, 4, 11, 2 31 and 6 on Saturday.
Like the rest of the B.C. Transit fleet, the Santa Bus features enhanced COVID-19 safety measures, including increased cleaning of buses and facilities, with driver doors and vinyl panels.
If you plan on riding, please wear a face covering, follow the directional signage and practise physical distancing to the best of your ability. Masks are mandatory on all B.C. Transit buses for passengers 12 and older.
