Police said it was a “rude awakening” for the man when he realized his vehicle was gone, along with his wallet and some power tools that were inside.

Nanaimo RCMP are warning against leaving idling vehicles unattended after a man’s vehicle was stolen on Tuesday when he left it unlocked with the engine going to warm it up.

Police said it was a “rude awakening” for the man when he realized his vehicle was gone, along with his wallet and some power tools that were inside.

The vehicle and its contents haven’t been recovered.
