Two people were sent to hospital with minor effects early Tuesday after a fire in a home on Myrtle Avenue, near Hillside Centre.
The Victoria Fire Department was called about 6:40 a.m. and was at the scene for about two hours.
It was determined the fire had started in the basement and spread up into the walls.
The cause is still under investigation.
