Victoria police had simultaneous calls about armed men to deal with late Sunday and early Monday, with both leading to arrests at gunpoint.
Officers were first called to a temporary multi-unit housing facility on Gorge Road East just before midnight and located a suspect after a report that a man had a firearm tucked under his belt.
A realistic replica handgun recovered. The man had a court-ordered condition not to possess replica firearms.
As that was going on, police got a call saying that a man was stabbing a hallway floor and threatening people at a multi-unit complex on Pandora Avenue. Several residents called 911.
An arrest was made and a knife was found.
The male, a youth, had been a guest in the building but was asked to leave when people became concerned about his behaviour. He then grabbed a kitchen knife before entering the hallway.
Once arrested, he continued to make threats, including to officers, police said.
