A Victoria police dog was part of a Wednesday night arrest after a report about an assault at a residence on Haultain Street, near Cook Street.
The call came in about 10 p.m., and when officers arrived they found the suspect had fled.
Police flooded the area and called for a police dog to assist. The suspect was found after a brief search.
