A man wanted on a nationwide warrant and believed to be armed with a gun was arrested in downtown Victoria Tuesday afternoon.
The man was spotted on his way into downtown shortly before 2 p.m. and officers located him just outside Centennial Square. The man tried to run but was apprehended by officers.
During the arrest, the man dropped a handgun, which was later deemed to be a convincing replica.
There were no injuries.
