The investigation into the disappearance of Willem Rennie is continuing six months after he went missing.
Rennie, 25, was last seen in the Courtenay area April 19. His 1999 blue, two-tone Chevrolet pickup truck was found at the Comox Valley Exhibition Grounds on Headquarters Road, and the area was thoroughly searched.
His family is pleading for the public’s help in locating him.
“Willem was a father, he loved his son more than words can describe,” the family said in a statement. “He was the light of his life. Please, if you have any information, speak up.
“Help us find our father, our son, our brother and our friend.”
Comox Valley RCMP Const. Rob Gardner urged people to contact them with any information they have no matter how irrelevant it might seem.
Rennie is about five-foot-six and 130 pounds with blond hair, blue eyes and a medium build.
