Witnesses, video footage sought after Victoria hit-and-run

The pickup’s licence number wasn’t obtained but VicPD said the vehicle likely has damage to the front of its passenger side.

Victoria police are are looking for witnesses and video footage as they investigate a hit-and-run last week on Bay Street.

The two-vehicle crash happened about 1:20 p.m. Aug. 22 when the driver of an eastbound black pickup truck struck the rear driver’s-side corner of a car travelling west in the 900-block of Bay Street, near Quadra Street.

The pickup kept going and turned south on Cook Street, while the car ended up having to be towed.

The pickup’s licence number wasn’t obtained but the vehicle likely has damage to the front of its passenger side.

Anyone who saw the incident or who has dashcam or other footage is asked to call Victoria police at 250-995-7654.
