CFAX’s Stirling, CTV VI honoured at radio, TV awards

CFAX radio personality Adam Stirling and CTV Vancouver Island have been named national award winners for 2020 by the Radio Television Digital News Association Canada.

CFAX radio personality Adam Stirling and CTV Vancouver Island have been named national award winners for 2020 by the Radio Television Digital News Association Canada.

Stirling received a Sam Ross Award for an editorial commentary called Horse Carriage Politics, about the issue of horse-drawn carriages on Victoria streets.

CTV Vancouver Island was recognized with a Dave Rogers Award for the best short news feature.

Lexi’s Legacy, a segment of the Sawatsky Sign-Off by Adam Sawatsky, told the story of an Esquimalt girl with the rare disease Blau syndrome. Her family has created the Cure Blau Syndrome Foundation in her memory.
