A small earthquake was recorded in the ocean between Victoria and Port Angeles at 3:16 a.m. Sunday.
The U.S. Geological Survey recorded it at as 2.5-magnitude quake, while Earthquakes Canada had it at 2.0. It hit about 19 kilometres south of Victoria.
There were reports of it being felt in Victoria and Sooke.
Hundreds of similar small earthquakes are recorded in the region annually.
