Major crimes officers searched a home near Fort Street and Foul Bay Road Wednesday morning as they continue to investigate the killing of a Victoria mother whose body was found on Dallas Road this month.

Victoria police say officers from the Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime, the Oak Bay, Saanich and Victoria police departments, and the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team “conducted additional investigative steps” in the area, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Oak Bay Deputy Police Chief Mark Fisher said a search took place in a residence.

The body of Bree Sara Gamble, 47, was found on the south side of Beacon Hill Park shortly after 6 a.m. March 3. Police later deemed the death a homicide. Gamble was described by her father as a beautiful and creative woman, a singer, artist, actor and mother.

Fort Street and Foul Bay Road was one of four locations identified by police as an area of interest in the investigation. They asked anyone who had been in the area, as well as lower Cook Street near Beacon Hill Park, lower Douglas Street near the park and Dallas Road between Douglas and St. Charles, to speak with investigators.

Police say they do not believe the public is at risk.

Anyone with information about the homicide is asked call the VIIMCU information line at 250-380-6211.
