Victoria police arrested a man and recovered a knife after receiving a 911 call about an agitated man with a knife threatening people downtown.
Officers were called to Commercial Alley, near Bastion Square, about 2:15 p.m. Monday. They were able to de-escalate the situation and arrested the man without incident.
They determined that the man had threatened two woman while holding a large fishing knife.
Recommended charges include uttering threats and breaching court-ordered conditions not to possess knives.
