A mountain biker suffered head injuries Saturday on the Mount Work-Hartland mountain biking trails.
Saanich firefighters and paramedics arrived at the scene on one of the area’s more technical trails about 1:15 p.m.
Assistant Deputy Fire Chief Brock Henson said “full spinal precautions” were taken to lower the patient to another trail. He was then put on a utility-terrain vehicle for transport to an ambulance in the parking lot.
No information on his condition was available.
