Two men were found dead Wednesday afternoon in separate tents at Topaz Park in Victoria. The deaths have been deemed to be not suspicious by the Victoria Police Department, the B.C. Coroners Service said in a statement.
People without homes have been staying in tents at Topaz Park as a way to attain physical distance amid the COVID-19 pandemic. One man was in his 20s and the other in his 60s, the coroners service said.
Their names have not been released. Causes of death are being investigated.
The coroners service, meanwhile, has confirmed that it’s investigating the death last week of a man in his 30s on Pandora Avenue, where more people without homes are living in tents.
