Findlay has nothing to be ashamed of

I was almost in tears reading how Paula Findlay felt she had let down her friends and Canada, how she kept repeating, "I'm sorry" as she crossed the finish line in the women's triathlon.

I would love to give her a hug and assure her she has absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. Like all athletes, she did her best, and considering her restricted training regimen, she should be proud of her efforts.

Years of hard work got her to the Oympics. How many of us can boast of being an Olympic athletic? Paula should come home with her head held high. She should be proud - she competed and finished. I'm proud of her, as I'm sure Canada is too.
