Interesting report, but it's missing several essentials.

Before B.C. Transit pats itself on the back about high ridership, how well does it correlate with the area's population growth over the same time period?

And how do our age demographics compare with the other cities? They all have much larger university populations of young people who can walk or cycle within a more compact area. An older population is less likely to make the same choices, particularly when they're spread over a larger service area - from Sidney to Metchosin.

Finally, how do the overall costs compare? What is the cost per trip? And what does that work out to per resident? What fares do users pay?

This information would give a better idea of the big picture.
