Open from now until January 2, the Gingerbread Showcase has bakers competing to win the coveted People’s Choice Award.

After the challenges of the past few years, Habitat for Humanity Victoria is thrilled to have the Gingerbread Showcase back at the Parkside Hotel & Spa. “We’re so excited to welcome back this time-honoured holiday event, bringing so much joy to the community,” said The Parkside Hotel & Spa General Manager Trina White. “It’s exciting to have The Gingerbread Showcase under one roof again, and our honour to support Habitat for Humanity Victoria and the build program.”
Donations go directly to Habitat for Humanity Victoria’s build fund to help local families achieve strength, stability and independence through affordable homeownership. With the current critical need for housing in the Victoria community, your help is needed now more than ever to give local families a hand-up.
An affordable home has an immediate impact on families that lasts through generations, providing an important foundation for reducing poverty and achieving economic growth. As a whole, families benefitted by Habitat experience better health, educational and economic outcomes.

Habitat for Humanity Victoria has invited bakers to interpret some magic into their Gingerbread masterpieces with this year’s theme, ‘Magical’. Visitors can expect whimsical designs as our amazing volunteers work to “bake a difference” for local families in need of safe, stable and affordable housing. With such a magical theme, the creative possibilities are endless.
The Gingerbread Showcase is open November 26, 2022 until January 2, 2023 between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. daily. Visitors can pick up a leaflet when they arrive at the Showcase to learn more about Habitat for Humanity Victoria and their supporters.
There is no charge to visit the Gingerbread Showcase, but visitors are encouraged to donate when they vote for their favourite entry.
