Three popular players on PGA Tour Champions have committed to play at the 2017 Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship.

Fred Funk and Jay Haas, who finished tied for 10th and 12th, respectively, in last year’s event in Langford, are joined by the always entertaining Paul Goydos, who won over media and fans alike at Bear Mountain Resort.

The trio join defending champion Colin Montgomerie, runner-up Scott McCarron, Schwab Cup champion Bernhard Langer and Canadian Stephen Ames, who have all committed to the event, slated for Sept. 15-17.

Montgomerie defeated McCarron on the third playoff hole last year after both had finished at 15-under par. Funk was four shots back while Haas finished one more shot in arrears. Haas matched Montgomerie’s second-round 7-under 64 at the event.

Organizers have also confirmed that in honour of Father’s Day, a special promotion will be available which includes a complimentary 2017 event hat with the purchase of any tournament ticket until June 18.

Tickets can be purchased online at pacificlinkschampionship.com through the buy tickets tab. There are several ticket options available.
