James Hahn shot a 7-under 64 on Saturday in the Web.com Tour Championship for a share of the third-round lead with Justin Hicks.

Hicks, the second-round leader, had a 67 to match Hahn at 12-under 201.

The top 60 on the money list qualified for the season-ending event at TPC Craig Ranch, and the final top 25 will earn 2013 PGA Tour cards. Hahn and Hicks have already wrapped up tour cards, with Hahn 13th on the money list, and Hicks 11th.

"It was a good day but I'm not going to say it was a great day," said Hahn, the Rex Hospital Open winner in June in Raleigh, North Carolina. "I was even on the par 5s. ... It's all about taking home a trophy."

The winner will receive $180,000 from the $1-million purse.

"Tomorrow is my birthday," said Hicks, who will be 38.

"I've got my family out, so it's a good week regardless. ... The best defence is a good offence. I can't say there was ever a round where I told somebody we made too many birdies."

Justin Bolli was two strokes back after a 67. He's 44th on the money list.

Michael Putnam, 30th on the money list, was fourth at 9 under after a 67.

Ottawa's Brad Fritsch dropped from second to a tie for 11th after shooting a 71 and finishing the day at 6-under par. Adam Hadwin (68) of Abbotsford passed his fellow countryman, finishing in a tie for eighth at 7 under.
