The Victoria HarbourCats rallied from a 5-0 deficit to beat the Bellingham Bells by a 6-5 count Friday night in a West Coast League baseball game at Wilson’s Group Stadium at Royal Athletic Park.

Tate Shimao out of NCAA Cal Poly-Obispo, Sky Collins and Kerim Orucevic from NCAA University of San Diego had two hits each for Victoria (10-9). Closer Connor Sims took the win. Jacob Mejia keyed the Bellingham (12-7) lead with a homer.

The series concludes tonight at 6:35 and Sunday afternoon at Royal Athletic Park.

Meanwhile, 100 fans will get autographs today from former MLB star and World Series champion Manny Ramirez at 1 p.m. at Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre. All proceeds from the $99.24 per signing will go to the Our Place Society. Ramirez wore No. 99 with the Los Angeles Dodgers and No. 24 with the Cleveland Indians (now Guardians) and Boston Red Sox. Ramirez’s sons, Manny Jr. and Lucas, are playing for the ­HarbourCats this season.
