Ontario officials are examining the potential of legalizing a plan that would permit its provincial online gambling to operate on an international level, meaning Canadians and non-Canadians could possibly play together on one online casino site.

Online gaming has proved to be a source of income for all countries that legalized it. Nowadays, there are so many options for both games and payment methods. There is a whole list of Interac online casinos listed by Techopedia, with multiple options available to  average Canadian citizens, including Bitcoin casinos, no-deposit casinos and anonymous casinos, which have been gaining popularity all over the world.

The perceived outcome of involving non-Canadians in online casinos in Ontario include exposure to a much larger pool of users, which would draw more revenue to online gambling companies, as well as the country, as it has regulated laws regarding online gambling. However, the issue arises in the question of whether or not Canadian laws that apply to Canadian users also apply to non-Canadians. This is an essential distinction in the financial sense, as now there are certain limitations for online gambling for Ontarians who cannot mix with the global network of users.

On the other hand, not all parties have the same interest in legalizing this proposal. The topic has prompted  country-wide discussions as many lotteries and gambling agencies from other provinces strongly opposed the Ontario proposal, claiming adoption of the proposal would only lead to more illegal activities. There are also complaints from other provinces that Ontario online casinos are now being aggressively advertised in all provinces.

Lawyers of two online casinos argue that the current situation is only forcing Canadian citizens to seek alternate options, citing this as the  main reason the Ontario proposal should be legalized.
