Sunfest will have its youngest headliner to date when Bailey Zimmerman tops the bill next summer, organizers of the Lake Cowichan country music festival announced Tuesday.
Zimmerman, 24, is one of the fastest-rising young stars in country music, and has toured with Morgan Wallen, Kane Brown, and Luke Bryan. His debut, 2023’s Religiously: The Album, currently holds the record as the most-streamed debut in country music history.
The Louisville native will be making his Vancouver Island debut alongside several other U.S. acts, including 12-time Grammy Award nominees Brothers Osborne. The Maryland-bred brothers, known for the hits It Ain’t My Fault, Stay a Little Longer and Shoot Me Straight, will be also making their Island debut during the festival, which runs July 31–Aug. 3.
Other headliners announced for the four-day festival at Laketown Ranch near Youbou include Jordan Davis, who scored No. 1 hits with Singles You Up and Slow Dance in a Parking Lot, Florida’s Ashley Cooke, Survivor: Nicaragua finalist Chase Rice, country legends Sawyer Brown, five-time Juno Award nominee Tim Hicks, and Ontario upstart Owen Riegling. Other acts will be named in the coming months.
Festival and camping passes go on sale Friday, Nov. 8 at 9 a.m. at sunfestconcerts.com.
