Quick-thinking staff at Mount Washington Alpine Resort saved a young skier from harm after the child started slipping from a chairlift at the resort on Thursday, CHEK News reported.
Witnesses said that once staff realized the danger the child was in, they sprang into action.
Nine of them held onto a net to catch the child, who was dangling from one of the chairs, which was stopped a short distance from the loading area at the base of the hill.
The incident, captured on video, shows the child’s fall cushioned by the net.
Kevin Lockwood, one of the witnesses, told CHEK News that he was impressed with the actions of the staff, and that the catching of the child was flawless.
Witnesses reported the child walked away from the incident unharmed.
