Victoria police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a man with assault and weapons-related convictions who is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for failing to abide by the conditions of his release.
Colin Monkman, 30, is believed to be in Victoria and is known to frequent the downtown core, Victoria West and the Burnside area.
Monkman is described as five-foot-six with a medium build, black hair and brown eyes, and has face and neck tattoos that include a teardrop under his right eye and the letter “M” under his left eye.
He was last seen in the downtown area wearing a red T-shirt, black pants, a black hoodie, black jacket and brown shoes.
Anyone who sees him is advised to call 911. Call Victoria police at 250-995-7654, extension 1 if you have information on his whereabouts.
