Nanaimo RCMP said the six-month-old Rottweiler/German shepherd/Labrador cross was tied to a bench outside London Drugs at the Port Place Shopping Centre about 5:30 p.m. Sunday and was gone when a family member checked on her about 5:45 p.m.

The missing dog was immediately reported to police and mall security, which was able to provide a picture of a suspect from surveillance video. The video shows a man on a neon-green mountain bike riding off will Molly running alongside.

The suspect is described as white and 25 to 35 years old with numerous tattoos. He was wearing a black muscle shirt, blue jeans and a black and white bandana around his neck.

The dog had a red collar and a tag that said “Bunni.”
