Two people were injured and four taken to hospital after a helicopter rolled off a cliff on Parker Island on Saturday afternoon.
The Victoria Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre received a call about 12:15 p.m. that a helicopter had rolled off a cliff and into the water near Galiano Island, said Navy Lt. Pamela Hogan, public affairs officer for the Canadian Armed Forces.
Two of the four people on board were injured. All four people were tranported to Victoria General Hospital by one of the Armed Force’s Cormorant rescue helicopters. The Canadian Coast Guard also assisted in the rescue.
The Transportation Safety Board is investigating the incident.
