Missing man, 64, has dementia and may be travelling on foot, Saanich police say

Christian is believed to be travelling on foot and is known to frequent Saanich and Esquimalt, as well as the Lochside Trail.

A 64-year-old man with dementia has gone missing and may be travelling around the capital region on foot, Saanich police say.

Christian, whose last name is not being released due to privacy concerns, has medical needs and police are concerned for his health and well-being after he was reported missing on Friday, said Const. Nick Murray of Saanich police.

Christian was last seen wearing a beige-coloured Broncos football team jacket with orange stripes, blue jeans, white sneakers, a baseball cap and a black backpack.

He is five-foot-six, of medium build, and has blue eyes, shaggy brown hair and a greying goatee.

Christian is believed to be travelling on foot and is known to frequent Saanich and Esquimalt, as well as the Lochside Trail.

Anyone who has information on Christan’s whereabouts is asked to contact Saanich police at 250-475-4321 and quote the file number 24-22074.

If anyone sees Christian, police are asking people keep him within line of sight and call 911.
