Victoria police have seized a pellet gun suspected to have been used in two incidents that damaged a city hall window and caused thousands of dollars in damage to McPherson Playhouse.
Police were called to city hall about 2:45 p.m. on July 29 after a staff member noticed damage to an office window. Police said the damage was consistent with a metal pellet being fired from outside. No one was hurt.
During the investigation, police learned of a second incident at McPherson Playhouse, adjacent to Centennial Square, in which windows were damaged in a suspected air-gun shooting believed to have happened in the week of July 25.
Officers seized a pellet gun believed to have been used in both incidents from someone in Centennial Square on Tuesday. They have not made any arrests.
Anyone with information about either incident is asked to call police at 250-995-7654 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
